Mia is an out-of-network private practitioner, which does not allow her to accept insurance plans. The advantages of this include not having to submit a diagnosis or share sensitive, confidential information with your insurance company.
With some insurance companies, Mia can provide an itemized receipt that you can submit to their insurance company to get a reimbursement. If you are interested in this, please contact your insurance company and ask for their reimbursement rates for out of network providers.
It is recommended that you ask these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for services to be covered?
Mia accepts payment in cash at the time of service.
Payment for online sessions is to be made before your scheduled appointment. You may pay via Venmo, Bizum, or bank transfer.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand, or the full session rate will be charged.
